circa 1850, with fine twist 30in. London proved damascus barrels, the broad flat top-rib signed 'R. ANCELL, 44 GEORGE ST PERTH MAKER TO H.R.H. PRINCE ALBERT', dove-tailed beaded blade fore-sight on a stippled ground, numbered for two of a pair forwards of the triple bladed flush folding rear-sight, each leaf with a platinum centreline, platinum vented plugs, scroll engraved rib-end and top-tang, the latter also featuring an engraving of a recumbent stag, border and scroll engraved bar-action locks (traces of colour) and signed 'ROBERT ANCELL' on the bar, sliding safes forwards of both dolphin headed engraved hammers, chequered walnut half-stock with engraved iron inlet patch-box to right hand side of butt, chequered iron heel-plate with engraved top-spur, engraved trigger-guard bow with chequered pistol-grip spur to lower tang (traces of finish) and brass tipped heavy duty mahogany ramrod
